The Goth Family- Part 8

The Queen went to visit her children in Richmond and to place her newborn son, Prince Mortimer, named after her late husband. She was leaving for Spain within the month, she was anxious to see her son, Prince Ferdinand.

For all the help he provided for the Duke of York, King Alexander bestowed the title, Earl of Hereford upon John Burb. Mrs. Burb, now the Countess of Hereford, was overjoyed to see her husband rise.

Along with the Earl's new station, he was give apartments at court, so he could bring his whole family to live with him at court, which please the Countess.

The Duke and Duchess were also living at court, the Duchess didn't care much for the Countess' company, but she did like her daughter, the Lady Lucy, whom she like to Lady Hereford.

The Duchess didn't dislike the Countess, there was just something about her that made her feel uneasy about her being at court.

The king also took a liking to Lady Lucy, she had been a Lady to the Queen, so he knew of her, but now that she lived at court with her family, he saw more of her and he enjoyed seeing more of her.
"Lady Hereford, you look very beautiful in that dress, it brings out the color of your eyes" said the King
"Your Majesty is too Kind" said Lady Lucy
"Nonsense, if anything, my complements don't do your beauty justice" the King whispered to her

The King was falling hard for the Lady, he wondered if she felt anything for him.
He asked her to dance, in hope to get close to her and talk to her.
"Lucy? is it okay if I call you that?" asked the King, as leaned in close to whisper to her.
"Of course, Your Majesty" the Lady whispered back
"I can't stop thinking about you, you are on my mind when I wake up and when I go to sleep, do you feel the same for me?" the King whispered into the Lady's ear.
"You are always in my thoughts and in my dreams, Your Majesty" the Lady whispered back

After the banquet, the King walked the Lady back to her family's apartments.
"Wait, Lucy." the King said, as he pulled the Lady close to him.
"Yes, Your Majesty?" asked the Lady
"May I kiss you, Lucy?" the King asked her
The Lady nodded, as the king pulled her in closer, her heart raced.
"Good Night, My Lucy." the King whispered to the Lady as he walked back to his apartments.

The King and his council were discussing matters of the state.
"Your Majesty, you should start looking for a wife, shall we start looking Your Majesty's options?" said the Duke
"I actually have someone in mind already" said the King with a smile on his face.
"Excellent, who, Your Majesty? I will make the arrangements with the Lady's parents." said the Duke
"It's the Earl's Daughter, Lady Hereford." replied the King
"Lady Hereford?" asked the Marquess
The Duke and Marques looked at each other, Lady Hereford was only the daughter of an Earl, to be chosen to be the next Queen of England and the mother of the future Kings, but it was the King's will wish to be married to the Lady.
"I will speak to Earl on Your Majesty's behave." said the Duke

Later that night, the Duke met with the Countess Jennifer. They had been waiting to meet all day, as soon as their eyes met each others, they embrace.
"My dear, how I have yearned for you all day." the Duke whispered in the Countess' ear
"My love, I have thought of nothing but being at your side" the Countess whispered back.

They both headed to the bed and laid in each others arms.
"I have some news for you, my dear." said the Duke
"What is it, my love?" asked the Countess
"His Majesty, wishes to marry Lady Hereford" said the Duke
"The King wishes to marry my Lucy? Who told you that?" asked the Countess, shocked with what she had heard
"I heard it from His Majesty himself." replied the Duke
"I can't believe it, I mean my daughter has told me that the King has expressed he liking toward her, but I never dream that he would take as his wife?!" exclaimed the Countess.

The Lady Hereford's Sister, Joan was turning 13, so to celebrate, her parents threw a banquet and invited the King to the Banquet.
(And of course, the King went to the bathroom when I took the picture.)

The Goth Family- Part 6

The King decided, as the Prince of Wales, his son should have his own estates, so he gave instructions to have Alexander to be moved to the castle in Wales.

Packed and ready to go, the Prince set on for the long journey to Wales, little did he know that his stay would be a short one.

Soon it was time to celebrate the twin's, Macario and Claudette's first birthday, the King was fond of all his children and love to throw large banquets to celebrate their birthdays.

The Queen was curious what the King had planned for her son, the Prince. She knew that her son would only become King of England, if the Prince of Wales died, but he was an excellent health, so her sons would be given Dukedoms.
"Has Your Majesty though what title shall be bestowed on the Prince Ferdinand, your son?" asked the
Queen
"Ferdinand is going to be made Duke of Edinburg and also..." said the King as he trailed off
"And? Your Majesty?" asked the Queen
"You'll see, don't worry my dear, you won't be disappointed" said the king
And then the their was a knock on the door
"Come in" said the king
Governess Mary-Sue walked in the room
"Your Majesty, the Spanish Ambassador is asking for an audience with Your Majesty? said Mary-Sue
"Thank you Lady Governess" said the King
He then lean closer to whisper something in her ear.
"Will you meet me in the library later tonight? whispered the King
The Governess nodded in agreement.

Later that night, after putting the royal children to bed and leaving instructions with servants, Ms. Mary-Sue made her way to the library. the King was already there.
"Your majesty, you wished to see me?"
"Yes, it's a shame that you have to wear black, the color blue suits you better." the King said as he gently pulled Ms. Mary-Sue closer to him.

Ms. Mary-Sue blushed as she was pulled in closer and closer to the King.
"Dance with me Ms. Mary-Sue" Proclaimed the King and ordered music to be played.
The King and Ms. Mary-Sue danced the night away.

The Queen wanted a portrait done of her and her children, she was anxious of having it done as soon as possible, she could help but feel something was coming.

The King called the Prince Ferdinand into the throne room, he was going to bestow a title on the young Prince.
"Ferdinand, Prince of England, it is my great pleasure to bestow upon you the title of Duke Edinburg"
"Thank you, Your Majesty. I will do my best to do my duty as Duke and make you proud"
"But it's also my great displeasure to inform you that my uncle, the King of Spain is one his death bed and since he has no sons, he has named me as
Prince of Asturias"
Everyone in the room gasps, it was something that had been in the making with the help of the King's ambassadors and the Spanish ambassadors, no one knew of this, not even the Queen.
"I have decided to pass the title and the crown of Spain to my son, Prince Ferdinand"
Everyone rejoiced, the Queen was in shock, she was overjoyed with the rise of her son, but he was made heir to the throne of Spain, she knew when he would be made the Duke, he would be given his own estates and would not live at court, but it would be a long time before he would move away from court. As the Prince of Asturias, He will need to be prepared to be a ruler, like the Prince of Wales, but unlike the Prince of Wales, her son is the heir to a foreign throne.

And as the heir to a foreign throne, he was sent to be prepared to become the ruler, with a heavy heart, but a strong face, she said good bye to her first born son. She knew he would protected and looked after, his Governess and tutors would make sure to give her weekly reports, but it would do nothing for the pain she was feeling in her heart, at the sight of her child being sent from her side.

And to make maters worse, her husband, The King passed away the following week.
(I'm not even joking, Mortimer died the day Ferdinand left the house, he was so upset, his father had died and his mother wasn't the household to comfort him, I was so sad watching him go through all that, I invited Dina to come over everyday until he stopped the auto-crying.

The Goth Family- Part 4

The Queen invited Lady Coral to court, to which Coral accepted and brought her daughter, Lady Mary-Sue with her. The Queen was delighted with Lady Mary-Sue, as she remember playing with her in her parent's garden while their parents would do business. The Queen asked her about her life, as she remembered last time she spoke to Lady Mary-Sue, her family was throwing an banquet, in celebration of her engagement to Sir Daniel Pleasant. Lady Mary-Sue told the Queen, that she had given Sir Daniel, twin daughters, Angela and Lilith but was not able to give the son he desperately wanted, so he divorced her and she moved back to her parent's estate. The only thing she was looking forward, was the fact that Angela was getting married soon, she would hope that she would be better marriage than hers. The Queen was sadden by her story, so she invited her to stay at court, to be a governess to her son, Ferdinand. Life at court was always lively and merry, being a governess to the royal children also was a fulfilling experience, so the Queen had hoped that she would accept, which Mary-Sue did.

Months after Mary-Sue agreed to be the Governess, her parents were made Marquess and Marchioness of Winchester, they were also given the Winchester estates, apartments at court and an annual pension of 50,000 simoleons.

Even with all his duties as King, he always found time to spend with son, Prince Ferdinand. The little one, 3 years old and already learned to speak and read in Latin. Now he is being taught English and when he gets a little older, he learn to write.

The now, Governess Mary-Sue would weekly have an audience with the Queen, to update her on her sons progress.
"The Prince is progressing excellently, I see him try and hold a pen to scribble on paper. So he should be able to start writing soon" said the Governess
"Excellent, I also see the Prince mesmerized by the violin, I will be adding a music teacher to teach him how to play" Said the Queen
"Very well, Your Majesty" Replied the Governess
"I would also like to have you to be a Lady in Waiting in my circle for a short time" Asked the Queen

The Queen was with child again, so she wanted the Governess to be present during the birth, so she can take over with the infant's care, right at birth. She was so pleased with the progress of the Prince, she wants the same for her child that was growing in her womb.

Now it was time celebrate the Prince's 4th Birthday, The King threw a banquet and sent for all the nobles to come to pay their respects to the Prince.

Months after the Prince's birthday, Lady Coral, wife of the Marquess of Winchester, died of pneumonia. The King and Queen sent their condolences to Sir Herb.

After the Queen's first pregnancy, which is when she went into labor on the top of the staircase, if it hadn't of been for a strong man passing by right as the Queen was losing her balance. The Queen would have fallen down the stairs and possibly would have killed her along side the child she carried. So she decided towards the end of pregnancy, to retire from public life until she gives birth to her child

A few weeks later, the Queen goes into labor in the middle of the night, one of her ladies in waiting is sent to find the royal physician, while the rest of them prepare the chamber and the help the Queen be comfortable as possible.

In the early hours of the morning, after a complicated birth, the Queen delivers twins, to everyone amazement. None of the physicians could have predicated, but they were thrilled that the Queen and the infants were fine. She had given birth to a daughter and son.
