The kingdom rejoiced, the Queen had delivered a healthy little princess. The council had hoped that it could have been a son, to be the Prince of Wales. But the king was thrilled regardless, they named the infant, Isabella after the King's mother. But where was the Queen?...

The birth of the Princess was overwhelming for the Queen, so she rested to restore her health.
But after a day of being in bed, she could not stand being away from her daughter, she instructed her ladies and servants to help get ready, she was going to the nursery to see the Princess.

From the moment she saw her, she was enchanted with the small infant, her tiny fingers, her beautiful eyes, she was in love.
"Your Majesty, she is beautiful and so happy." said the Lady Joan
"Yes, she is beautiful, I don't want to be away from her for even a second." replied the Queen
"Your Majesty, the Duchess of York is asking for an audience with Your Majesty" one of the servants said
"Well my dear, I have to say one of my many good byes" said the Queen as she cuddled the infant.
The Queen then handed the infant to her sister and then followed the servant.

See then walked to her receiving room, where the Duchess was waiting for the Queen.
"Your Majesty" said the Duchess as she bowed, to which the Queen gestured her to take a seat.
"What can I do for, Your Grace?" asked the Queen
"I don't know if Your Majesty knew of the relationship between your sister, the Lady Joan and my son, Don" asked the Duchess
"I have noticed, but trust when I say that she is a very virtuous." said the Queen
"I know, it is why I want to ask if she is betrothed to anyone?" asked the Duchess
"No Your Grace, is your son interested in my sister?" asked the Queen
"He knows that the decision of who he gets to marry is not his, so he doesn't say he's interested. But I know my son, he is in love with her." replied the Duchess
"Well, you will have to discuss this with my father, but if when my father gives his consent, I will give your son to marry my sister." said the Queen
"Yes Your Majesty" replied the Duchess
"Now, would you like to meet the Princess Isabella?" asked the Queen
"I would love to, Your Majesty" replied the Duchess

As they walked into the royal nursery, Lady Joan was holding the Princess, she walked over to the Queen and handed her infant.
"Your Grace, may I present, Princess Isabella of England" said the Queen as she handed the infant to the duchess.
"Your Majesty, she is simply precious, His Majesty must be proud to posses such a jewel"
"He is, but he worries for her health, his thinking about sending to the country"
"But she looks strong, she also looks so much like His Majesty, when he was little"
"I've been hearing that from everyone, it pains me to think she will not be down the hall for much longer."
It sadden the Duchess to think of the Princess so far away from her mother, she couldn't imagine being away from her son.

"Have you appointed a governess for the Princess Your Majesty?" asked the Duchess
"Actually, I was going to appoint Your Grace, to be Governess to the Princess." replied the Queen
"I would be honored Your Majesty" said the Duchess

The Queen then headed to her chambers to change, when she ran into the King.
"Your Majesty, I've just come from the nursery" said the Queen as she bowed
"How is our daughter?" asked the King
"She in well, I was just heading to my apartments to get ready for tonight." replied the Queen
"We have a special guest joining us tonight" said the King
"Who, Your Majesty?" asked the Queen
"My sister, the Princess Claudette, she has come from Spain, where she was visiting her mother." replied the King
"I can't wait to meet her, if you will excuse Your Majesty" said the Queen

Later that night, a banquet was being thrown, to celebrate the birth of the Princess Isabella. Every noble in the kingdom came to congratulate the King and Queen on the new addition to their family.

The King and Queen made their way through the banquet hall to their seats, when a young lady of only 16 approached the King and Queen. The Queen had never seen her before, so she looked to her husband and she saw a kind smile on the King's face.

The Goth Family- Part 10

A year after the coronation, the Queen had been seen less and less, so many people were wondering if she had withdrew from the court. The Queen was pregnant with her first child, but that was not why she was avoiding the court, she wasn't use to being the center of attention.
"Lady Jennifer, I was wondering if Mrs. Pleasant and I may have an audience with Her Majesty" asked Lady Nina
"I'm sorry, but Her Majesty is resting and will no receive anyone today" replied Lady Jennifer
"But I will make sure to tell Her Majesty of your request." said the Duchess of York

The Duke and the Lady Jennifer continued their affair, they were content with their relationship, they were certain no one would find out. Little did they know, that someone who had been suspicious for sometime and instructed to follow them.

Sir John, Lady Jennifer's husband was tired of his wife tramping around with the Duke of York, so he decided to confront her, he knew couldn't confront the Duke because he out ranked him, but would make sure his wife would be reprimanded.

The Queen found out about her mother's conduct and confronted her.
"Mother is true what father told me, that you were having an affair with Duke."
"That is between your father and me."
"Don't you use that tone with me, I am your Queen."
"And I am your mother and you will respect me, regardless of my actions."

"HOW DARE YOU? I COULD HAVE THROWN OUT ON THE STREETS!" the Queen shouted with a tremble in her voice.
Lady Jennifer was shocked, her daughter never raised voice to her.
"Yes, you are mother, but I am also months away from not just being a mother, but mother to the King's child. How am I suppose to raise my child to be a good person, if you are tramping around. You will apologize to the Duchess, you will pack your things and move back to our family's Estates at Hereford, you will remove yourself from my sight." said the Queen
"Are you banishing me from court" asked Lady Jennifer
"YES AND IF I HEAR THAT YOU HAVE CHANGED YOUR CONDUCT, I WILL HAVE YOU LOCKED UP IN A CONVENT." shouted the Queen
"Yes, Your Majesty" replied Lady Jennifer as she bowed and backed out of the room.

After a few months, the Duchess returned to court with her son, Don. She forgave her husband, she didn't hold any ill will toward the Lady Jennifer, she felt sorry for her, banished from court, by her own daughter and when she would be giving birth to her grandchild. But she felt more for the Queen, she would have to bring her child into the world without her mother.

Sir John was turning 40, so the Queen threw her father a banquet to celebrate, she kept it relatively small, only invited family and friends.

The more time Don spent with the Lady Joan, the more he became more addicted to her company.
"Are you going to be at court for much longer, Lady Joan?" asked Don
"My brother is moving back to our family estates at Hereford, my father and I are staying, I will be a Lady to my sister the Queen. What about you Don?" replied the Lady Joan
"My mother said I will going to university soon. But I intend on visiting you as much as possible." said Don.

As Don was walking the Lady Joan to her family's apartments, he paused in hallway.
"Lady Joan, may I kiss you, it will be a long time before I see you and I want to have this moment to hold me over until I see you again." asked Don
"Yes, you may" said the Lady

Suddenly, the Queen went into labor, her ladies and servants cleared her apartments of any guest and sent for the royal physicians. The Lady Joan, ran down to the King's apartments to let him know of the Queen's condition.

Now all everyone could is wait and wonder, would it be a boy? would it be a girl? Would mother and child have a safe delivery? Stay tuned!

The Goth Family- Part 8

The Queen went to visit her children in Richmond and to place her newborn son, Prince Mortimer, named after her late husband. She was leaving for Spain within the month, she was anxious to see her son, Prince Ferdinand.

For all the help he provided for the Duke of York, King Alexander bestowed the title, Earl of Hereford upon John Burb. Mrs. Burb, now the Countess of Hereford, was overjoyed to see her husband rise.

Along with the Earl's new station, he was give apartments at court, so he could bring his whole family to live with him at court, which please the Countess.

The Duke and Duchess were also living at court, the Duchess didn't care much for the Countess' company, but she did like her daughter, the Lady Lucy, whom she like to Lady Hereford.

The Duchess didn't dislike the Countess, there was just something about her that made her feel uneasy about her being at court.

The king also took a liking to Lady Lucy, she had been a Lady to the Queen, so he knew of her, but now that she lived at court with her family, he saw more of her and he enjoyed seeing more of her.
"Lady Hereford, you look very beautiful in that dress, it brings out the color of your eyes" said the King
"Your Majesty is too Kind" said Lady Lucy
"Nonsense, if anything, my complements don't do your beauty justice" the King whispered to her

The King was falling hard for the Lady, he wondered if she felt anything for him.
He asked her to dance, in hope to get close to her and talk to her.
"Lucy? is it okay if I call you that?" asked the King, as leaned in close to whisper to her.
"Of course, Your Majesty" the Lady whispered back
"I can't stop thinking about you, you are on my mind when I wake up and when I go to sleep, do you feel the same for me?" the King whispered into the Lady's ear.
"You are always in my thoughts and in my dreams, Your Majesty" the Lady whispered back

After the banquet, the King walked the Lady back to her family's apartments.
"Wait, Lucy." the King said, as he pulled the Lady close to him.
"Yes, Your Majesty?" asked the Lady
"May I kiss you, Lucy?" the King asked her
The Lady nodded, as the king pulled her in closer, her heart raced.
"Good Night, My Lucy." the King whispered to the Lady as he walked back to his apartments.

The King and his council were discussing matters of the state.
"Your Majesty, you should start looking for a wife, shall we start looking Your Majesty's options?" said the Duke
"I actually have someone in mind already" said the King with a smile on his face.
"Excellent, who, Your Majesty? I will make the arrangements with the Lady's parents." said the Duke
"It's the Earl's Daughter, Lady Hereford." replied the King
"Lady Hereford?" asked the Marquess
The Duke and Marques looked at each other, Lady Hereford was only the daughter of an Earl, to be chosen to be the next Queen of England and the mother of the future Kings, but it was the King's will wish to be married to the Lady.
"I will speak to Earl on Your Majesty's behave." said the Duke

Later that night, the Duke met with the Countess Jennifer. They had been waiting to meet all day, as soon as their eyes met each others, they embrace.
"My dear, how I have yearned for you all day." the Duke whispered in the Countess' ear
"My love, I have thought of nothing but being at your side" the Countess whispered back.

They both headed to the bed and laid in each others arms.
"I have some news for you, my dear." said the Duke
"What is it, my love?" asked the Countess
"His Majesty, wishes to marry Lady Hereford" said the Duke
"The King wishes to marry my Lucy? Who told you that?" asked the Countess, shocked with what she had heard
"I heard it from His Majesty himself." replied the Duke
"I can't believe it, I mean my daughter has told me that the King has expressed he liking toward her, but I never dream that he would take as his wife?!" exclaimed the Countess.

The Lady Hereford's Sister, Joan was turning 13, so to celebrate, her parents threw a banquet and invited the King to the Banquet.
(And of course, the King went to the bathroom when I took the picture.)
